Materials for the viewing platform was funded by a Texas Parks and Wildlife Horned Lizard License Plate Grant. Many volunteers helped build the platform.
The same TPWD grant also provided funds to purchase binoculars and viewing scope, materials for the demonstration garden, and signage for the prairie and garden.
