A work day at the Mowotony Prairie (part of the TNC Nash Prairie Preserve) is being scheduled for Friday February 27th from 9 to 4.
The work includes clearing a barbwire fence of brush and moving the debris to a  pile in preparation for a prescribed burn. The work will be done with chainsaws and loppers  Also need people to help drag the debris to the burn pile.
There is not enough room to park at the Mowotony Prairie.  The road does not have a shoulder and the ditch is steep. We will meet at the Nash Prairie and shuttle to the MowotonyDo not be concerned about not being able to leave the Mowotony when you want to . I will take anyone back to their car when ever they want to leave.
Date:     Friday, February 27th
Time:    9:00AM – 4:00PM   (Can come for all or part of the time)
Place:    Mowotony Prairie  ( County Road 18 and Hwy 36 , south of Damon)
Meet:    at the Nash Praire (CR 25 and CR 255) [Google map to Nash:]
Bring:    loppers, trimmers,  chain saw if you have it and want to use it, water, snacks and or lunch,    
Wear:    gloves , boots, hat , sunscreen (safety equipment if you use a chainsaw.  Example; ear protection, eye protection, chaps)
