E. Texas Prairie & Savannah Tour Pictures

Thanks to Brandt Mannchen for leading the E. Texas Prairie & Savannah Tour on October 25.  Jane Reierson sent this report and these photos:

“As always, Brandt led a fantastic tour. I believe there were 12 people at Mary See Prairie. All the fall asters were blooming including the large Aster pratense. We collected 2 asters at Mary See. Warren is going to identify them and send the information to Brandt. Tons of downy lobelia were blooming, especially at the second site we visited- the Longleaf Pine Savannah in the Big Thicket. Purple, pink, yellow, and white flowers made a stunning backdrop for a lovely day. East Texas is truly special! Thank you Brandt.”
