Because of the hard work of all our volunteers, we were able to have a successful mowing on August 13.  More about that in another blog.

The method of “come when you can” worked out very well – maybe except for Glenn and Pat who were there the entire day .  We had a steady stream of people all day. Kirsti Harms, NPAT President, drove from Austin to help!

The fence line from the very northern end to a couple of houses past ours has been cleared of woodies and vines.  Kelly was a one woman wonder with her battery powered electric saw and hand tools.  What she hacked and cleared in just the afternoon filled Glenn’s trailer and more.  Most were taken to our shrub pile at the NW corner of the property.  Some near the house were taken to the curb to be hauled away by Deer Park yard trash pickup.

Thanks to NPAT for providing sandwiches and salad for lunch and pizza for dinner and LOTS of fluids!
